Friends & sponsors of the BUW

Fundraising entails recruiting friends and sponsors to set up long-term partnerships between the fields of science, business and society. Grants and endowed chairs are just some of the projects currently being funded at the BUW.

We are seeking goal-oriented, longer-term partnerships to foster the excellence of our research and teaching activities and provide support for outstanding young talents.

Socially-oriented, responsible private individuals, companies and foundations are important partners of the University of Wuppertal. Your support in the form of donations and sponsorships enables the BUW to realise strategic, visionary projects and forge innovative new pathways.

The goals of our partnerships are:

• To promote and consolidate the BUW’s teaching, research and continuing education at the highest level
• To make a sustainable contribution to society and its development
• To strengthen Wuppertal, the Bergisch region, North Rhine-Westphalia and ultimately Germany as centres of business and academic excellence.
